The story started when the amazing Nesren Awad asked for a design carrying the word “Dance” in Arabic calligraphy..
this lady has endured multiple battles in her life, which are not easy by all means, but she victoriously survived, describing her victory as being reborn, proud to be out to live a life she deserves.
Using this word on the ring had been met by criticism and reservation. The design was a challenge for me, a challenge for the norms and limitations by our society related to dance. As it is also related to the role of the Arab woman, her space and personal freedom, any breach to what socially accepted was like breaking the norm.

Since “Aqrat” is a message before being a jewelry trademark, the design focuses on breaking out to the light, dancing freely and beautifully, in order to paint a new life. Nesren did not choose us by chance and did not choose the word “Dance” randomly, this word that refused to relax and insisted to came out to the light with a huge campaign, leaded by a ring carrying the word “Dance” and inspiring women.
Where every woman had her own definition of dancing in the life. The meaning of women freedom through their personal experiences and the meaning of being herself without any shackles or limitations. And this is what our precious Nesren said: I decided to gift myself on my 38th birthday as I do every year. This time the gift was so special to me, it was the “Dance” series from “Aqrat” shop and designed by the creative Enas.

“Dance” is not just a literal meaning; no, it has much deeper meaning, it carries a daily reminder and a daily message to remind us women, to resort back to ourselves and to be present and love our nature as women in internally and externally. When you as a woman master dancing with yourself, Life will dance with you; How? Your acceptance and kindness to yourself, your ideas, emotions, your family and spirituals, the greatness of your wise womb, and your uniqueness.

For me “Dance” is a reminder of my existence as a woman living her reality in this world. A word of thanks must be given to the designer, Enas. Dealing with Enas has quickly transformed from a client and what we have a pre -launching relationship to a friendship! And together we had a beautiful experience, profound and feminist as well.
How?
As a customer, I told her my story with the word dance. With her intelligence, she was able to make a complete project out of it, imitating the woman and her connection with herself, her beauty and her body, and breaking the taboos of shame and shame related to our prejudices on dance and the woman’s body.
Grateful for our cross path and our deep, brave encounter! All this besides the excellent service and good taste in design.

Thank you, the sweetest Enas 💓
Dance!
